To stimulate growth and ensure good condition, and to keep the scalp dandruff free, brew strong teas of the following herbs: Rosemary, Sage, Sweet basil, Bergamot, Maidenhair fern, Quince (skins, cores and a few leaves), Chamomile, Soapwort or Pink Australian phlox (Saponaria officinalis), Nettle, Burdock and Rhubarb leaf. For fair hair: use chamomile and rhubarb leaf; for dark hair use rosemary and sage. Boil up a potful of herb with enough water to cover. Boil for 5 minutes, then stand and cool. Strain and use either as a rinse or massage into the scalp.
